Introduction to the Exhibit
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was incredibly concerned with issues of global health. He worked diligently to address health issues and maintain public attention on several key global health crises. Whether addressing specific pathogens or outbreaks, working holistically to improve health conditions of women and children, or using the abstract concept of war as a lens by which to address negative health outcomes of those affected in areas of conflict, his work considered the subject of global health from all angles. His time as Secretary-General saw several serious public health challenges, some of which are highlighted here in this exhibit through reports, letters, press encounters, and photos.
